Royal Haskoning “cautiously optimistic” following contract wins

Dutch-based Royal Haskoning has sought to signal its resilience in the face of global economic downturn by highlighting a series of recent contract wins. Referring to projects in Thailand, Peru, Oman, the UK and its domestic market, the Netherlands, Royal Haskoning said it is looking “to the future with confidence and cautious optimism”. Its list of recent contract wins includes a project for the Dutch ministry of traffic and transport to manage a research programme considering how to achieve a “more natural development” of an important lake, the Markermeer-IJsselmeer. In Oman, Royal Haskoning will study water availability in the Sohar area, where industrial expansion has put pressure on water supplies.
