Summary We are a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy to looking to appoint Air Quality Consultants to join our growing environmental team.

Your role will principally be the preparation of air quality assessments using modelled and third-party data, presented to our clients in a report. There will also be an expectation to take on commercial and business development activities as well as contributing to the development of our growing team.

Our projects are UK based and range from small dispersion modelling assessments through to major residential, industrial and infrastructure, environmental impact assessments. Ideally you will have at least three years’ experience within this field, and you will have an affiliation with the IAQM as this is not an entry level role and requires experience within the sector. We are looking for candidates who want to be an integral part of the progress of a dynamic growing company. Responsibilities:

The level of responsibility and expectations technically, commercially and personally will advance according to the level of consulting grade. A General summary is given below for consulting grade 1.

-Delivery of air quality projects Liaison with clients, and planning and regulatory bodies

-Proposal preparation (both standalone and support of multidisciplinary bids)

-Technical / interpretative reporting for EIA, planning and regulation compliance

-Provide support to Environmental Permit applications

-As you will be collaborating with other related teams and disciplines such as acoustic consulting, an understanding of noise assessment work would be advantageous.

 

Expectations:

The level of mastery and experience for a candidate will be used to determine the consultant grade and level of expectation.

-Relevant UK experience of Air Quality processes

-Environmentally based degree or equivalent professional qualifications

-Experience of dispersion modelling such as ADMS-Roads and GIS packages

-Membership or Associate Member of the IAQM (Institute of Air Quality Management)

-Experience of dispersion modelling such as ADMS-Roads and GIS packages

-Practical experience of passive and automatic air pollution monitoring (where possible)

-Understanding of the LAQM and UK planning and regulatory system

-Excellent organisational and numerical skills with experience of managing your own workload.

-Excellent communication skills, and confidence to liaise directly with clients and regulators.

-A flexible and dynamic approach and for working in a growing team.
