WorleyParsons London are currently recruiting for experienced Project Managers of large scale ESIAs and environmental management projects. The project focussed Project Managers will be technical leaders within their Environment & Society Consulting team to join their growing Infrastructure business in the UK.

The Project Managers will be responsible for delivery of major projects and support the business performance of Environment & Society Practice based in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuing growth and profitable operation of the practice based in London. Projects are likely to be run from the UK but with global reach most likely in the Africa, Eastern Europe or Central Asia Regions.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the development of an environment consultancy practice and shape the direction and growth of the ESIA part of the business. There is significant potential for team and business development within the rapidly growing Infrastructure customer sector group.

Responsibilities

  • Project / delivery manager and an environmental impact assessment specialist on ES(H)IA projects globally as part of the Environment & Society Practice based in London.
  • Project / delivery manager and an environmental management specialist responsible for preparation of various environmental management plans under EPC(M) contracts globally as part of the Environment & Society Practice based in London.
  • Client management, as part of a project manager role, including communication through verbal and written correspondence including presentation.
  • Preparation and/or review of technical correspondence, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets.
  • Aid in business development including technical proposal and commercial offer preparation, attend client meetings, and deliver presentations.
  • Quality assurance - responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Group.
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safe working practices for the Group. Understand and follow WorleyParsons occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Business travel in relation to the ESHIA projects.
  • Mentor junior Environment & Society staff.

What you will bring

  • Background and overview knowledge of the industry sectors in which WorleyParsons operates –hydrocarbons, mining, infrastructure development.
  • Project management of international environmental impact assessment projects and environmental management projects.
  • Understanding of Environmental performance standards and best practices.
  • Tender preparation and customer presentations.
  • Experience of alliancing, sub-contracting and building project teams.
  • International experience including Eastern Europe, Central Asia or African regions.
  • Relevant technical degree from a recognised institution.
  • Good MS office and general business software capabilities.
  • Valued – Higher degree or relevant post grad training.
  • Valued– project management training/experience.
  • Valued – fluency in languages relevant to Eastern Europe, Central Asia or Africa.
