Grontmij wins Polish energy-from-waste contract
The Polish city of Szczecin has awarded Grontmij two contracts with a combined value of approximately €1.8 million (£1.6m) linked to the construction of a new energy-from-waste (EfW) plant. Grontmij's team – comprised of Polish, German and Dutch staff - will provide technical assistance and contract engineer services. The Szczecin plant will be the first “modern” EfW in Poland and is being partially funded by the EU.
