Key responsibilities will include leading the social elements of environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), managing ESIA, managing Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), including leading the social aspects of ESDD, social audits, stakeholder engagement planning and management, resettlement action plans, community investment planning, policy and corporate social responsibility assignments, primarily across oil and gas, energy, agribusiness, transport, infrastructure and mining sectors. 

Within the ESIA discipline, you will frequently be required to work within multidisciplinary teams, with specific responsibilities including: developing methods for and implementing social baseline data collection, including executing survey questionnaires, focus group discussions; planning and undertaking innovative community and stakeholder engagement exercises; leading the assessment of social impacts and participating in team or client impact assessment workshops; developing robust and realistic mitigation measures; establishing the permitting and regulatory compliance of proposed and/or existing operations and assist in the permitting and regulatory application processes. 

You will also have a role in project coordination in ESIA as well as other work streams, involving programme management, team input coordination, organizing overseas fieldwork, managing sub-consultant contracts, as well as delivery and payment. 

You will work on projects around the world in a wide range of international jurisdictions ranging from developed to less developed countries. You should therefore be able to work overseas on short assignments. 

As part of a growing team the role will also involve development of the business internationally. In this regard you will also lead on compiling major proposals in a coordinating capacity. 

To be successful in this role we're looking for Candidates with the following;
Extensive experience in undertaking ESIA, ESDD and other work streams mentioned in the role description above. The majority of this experience should be in working to international standards, including the IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, World Bank Operational Policies and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Performance Requirements, as a minimum. 
Substantial experience in the international market. 
Substantial consultancy experience.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, including the ability to prepare technical opinion reports in the social development field.
Business development capability with a client oriented approach. 
Ability to perform well in a team environment.
