Summary A vacancy has arisen within the Sustainable Business Team for a Senior Energy Consultant to deliver energy management services to our clients.

A self-starter, you will work as part of the wider Sustainable Business team and cross sector with the various engineering teams to deliver a range of energy efficiency and regulatory compliance projects with a focus on industrials.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to deliver client energy management objectives, including performing site energy audits, and identifying and quantifying energy savings measures for all demands on site (buildings, process, transport).
  • Help oversee legislative compliance functions including Climate Change Agreements, Carbon Reduction Commitment, and ESOS.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical consultancy on a range of energy management and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Assist building detailed business cases based on in depth technical analysis with solid business justification

To be successful in this role we’re looking for Candidates with the following;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate complex issues at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills and affinity for working with large, complex datasets.
  • Professional experience of energy management as an energy manager (or in a support role) or consultant, ideally with experience of energy auditing in the industrial sector and writing opportunities reports and knowledge of the various regulatory regimes with regards to GHG (CRC, CCA, EUETS, ESOS, MCR).
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft packages including word, excel, PowerPoint and access.
  • Higher degree in a relevant subject
  • Relevant professional membership (Energy Institute, Energy Manager’s Association, CIBSE etc.)
  • ESOS Lead Assessor
  • Chartered Energy Manager
  • Energy modelling experience
  • UK MoD Security Clearance (SC or higher)
  • Experience of delivering bureau services and AM&T systems
  • ISO 50001 experience
