Ricardo Energy & Environment has been recognised for compiling "the most complete emissions inventory" by the United Nations Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections.
The recognition credits Ricardo Energy & Environment’s work as the UK’s National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory agency, a position the firm (and its legacy company AEA Technology) has held for over 20 years. As part of the role, Ricardo Energy & Environment gathers and compiles air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions data on behalf of the Department of Business Environment and Industrial Strategy (EA 19-Jan-17).
Sean Christiansen, Ricardo director for environmental evidence and data, said: "It is an honour to deliver the UK’s National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory, and we are delighted to see it recognised on the international stage. The award reflects the UK’s commitment to continuously enhancing the breadth and quality of our emissions data and builds on over two decades of service and collaboration with the UK government."
Ricardo Energy & Environment boasts an air pollution team of over 100 scientists, consultants and engineer operating within both the UK and internationally.
