RSK has kicked off 2019 with the acquisition of design, property and construction consultancy, Pellings - the first to be financed by a £315m funding package announced by the environmental, engineering and technical services group at the end of last year (EA 18-Dec-18).
Operating from four offices across London and the South East, Pellings boasts c125 staff and an annual turnover of £12.5m. It provides surveying, architecture, planning, project management and facilities management services for housing, education and healthcare projects. The acquisition will see Pellings become part of RSK’s geosciences and engineering division. The acquired firm’s current leadership team, including managing director Richard Claxton, will join RSK.
Claxton said: "Our existing client base, particularly in education, healthcare and the public sector, will provide useful introductions for other parts of the RSK group."
The acquisition is RSK’s first of the New Year, but follows a flurry of acquisitive activity during 2017/18 (EA 13-Nov-18).
