Jacobs team in Reading leads on Saudi Arabian contract

Jacobs Engineering has won a three year contract with power and utility company Marafiq to act as project management contractor for Marafiq's activities in Saudi Arabia. Jacobs' Reading-based team will lead on the contract, with assistance from Jacobs staff in Mumbai. The work will focus on a series of projects in the Al Jubail and Yanbu industrial cities, including upgrades to wastewater treatment plants, electricity generation installations and a seawater reverse osmosis facility. Masterplanning and “conceptual studies” will also form part of the contract.
