Summary Crestwood is seeking an Assistant Ecologist. Full-time permanent role to assist with ecological consultancy services for the Company. Work will include assisting in the undertaking and production of habitat & species surveys and reports, mitigation and translocation works, and undertaking of desktop studies.

Working on a variety of projects throughout the UK, from the Company’s offices in Wolverhampton, with a small dedicated team of environmental professionals, due to current workload and continued planned expansion we have a great opportunity to join Crestwood Environmental Ltd. an Assistant Ecologist.

The role will involve assisting in the development of ecological services provided by the Company. Work to include assisting in the undertaking and production of habitat & species surveys and reports, mitigation and translocation works, and undertaking of desktop studies. The successful applicant will ideally:

You will be part of a team of Ecologists (within multi-disciplinary context) who are qualified in all aspects of ecological planning.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Strong academic ability and record;
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience;
  • Demonstration of passion and commitment to a career in ecology;
  • The ability to produce concise, high quality, written work; and
  • Full driving licence and access to own car.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in ecological consultancy or a closely related field;
  • Knowledge and experience of assisting on protected species surveys;
  • Working towards, or holding protected species licences/class licences; and
  • Membership of CIEEM.
