* Assess planning applications in terms of contaminated land
* Provide contaminated land advice |
Details |
You will need: * A degree in a relevant subject that includes significant training in contaminated land * A comprehensive up to date knowledge of contaminated land legislation and guidance and how to interpret it * a detailed knowledge of site investigation techniques, environmental risk assessment and remediation * An expert ability to scrutinise complex contaminated land reports and use professional judgement to decide on appropriate courses of action * Knowledge and experience of how contaminated land applies to the planning process * Knowledge and practical experience of Geographic Information Systems and good IT skills. * Excellent customer, communication and interpersonal skills This is a Temporary Contract until 31/03/2020, but may be extended beyond that date and is 14:48 hours per week (2 days) As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express him/herself spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.
