Mott Mac wins major Abu Dhabi water & power...

Consultancy framework contracts for power transmission in the central and western regions of Abu Dhabi and for water distribution in the eastern region of the emirate have been won by Mott MacDonald. The combined value of the three-year contracts is approximately £15 million, according to Mott MacDonald. The contracts will see the consultancy advise its client, the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, on the improvement, reinforcement, extension and development of water and electricity distribution networks being developed by a range of government and private sector organisations. The water contract covers the area within the emirate earmarked for its new administrative centre and for the “seat of power” for the United Arab Emirates as a whole. The eastern region is also home to infrastructure projects such as the Masdar eco-city and expansion of Abu Dhabi airport.
