Location: Harwell Role Description: An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Delicensing Assistant Project Manager, based at our Harwell site in Oxfordshire. This is a unique opportunity within the UK nuclear industry’s site restoration work, as the Harwell site is a key hub of economic growth, situated in the Science Vale Enterprise Zone. The restoration of the Harwell site aims to release significant land areas to the Harwell Oxford campus and therefore will return this land to socioeconomic use for the benefit of future generations. The role will play a key part in land quality projects from conceptual site model compilation, to site investigations, through to final data assessments and reporting. You will be qualified to Degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Nuclear Sciences, Engineering; other scientific disciplines will be considered). The post would suit a person who is a self-motivated, has experience in supervising fieldwork, interacting with laboratories, and has good report writing skills. You will be able to demonstrate experience in site characterisation works supervision and have at least 2 years’ experience in assessing land, materials or structures impacted by industrial activity. The person will need to have good interpersonal skills to maintain good dialogue with other site project teams.
